If you have been following my blog, you know I love off the shoulder styles. I found this burgundy red off the shoulder sweater dress and I knew it would make a perfect Valentine’s date night dress. I love the fitted shape of the dress and how it hugs your body in a flattering way. This is probably the simplest look I’ve put together for Valentine’s Day compared to past years. You can find me in dressier looks with this pink tulle skirt and this black maxi tulle skirt.
I shared a neutral Valentine’s look and a romantic black lace skirt, and here’s my last Valentine’s inspired look with a pretty pop of red! I love the gorgeous red color and detailing of this lovely long sleeve lace romper! It’s a great, flirty date night look that’s comfortable and sexy at the same time! Hope you enjoyed all of my Valentine’s Day looks this year and whether you have plans or celebrating being single this year, it’s always fun to get a little dressed and dolled up, don’t you think?! =)
This romper is a size Small and the torso does run a bit short so it fits more like an XS, which is perfect for me! I would recommend ordering a size up!
Today I’m wearing my 2nd Valentine’s Day inspired look (see also my heart sleeved sweater look) and also doing a special Instagram giveaway (see details below)! By now you know how much I love lace (hence my blog name =)), so it’s no surprise I’m obsessed with lace skirts. I love this romantic, black look that shows you don’t have to wear red or pink for Valentine’s! I paired the skirt with an off the shoulder crop top to create a pretty overall fit and flare shape.
It’s the first of February (seriously where did January go?!) and I’m kicking off this month with a cute Valentine’s Day look from Morning Lavender. It may be highly commercialized but the girlie girl in me has always loved Valentine’s Day and any excuse to dress cute (any carry around heart shaped balloons). This look combines pretty neutrals with a lil’ pop of color from the heart elbow sleeves.
I will have more Valentine’s Day inspiration coming to you soon including a special giveaway so stay tuned!
Greetings from Korea! It’s freezing here but it been such a wonderful experience so far! Follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (lacenlocks) if you want to see all the fun (and food) we are up too!
We shot this Valentine’s Day inspired look right before we left! If you have been following my blog, you know I love putting together date night looks (see black tulle maxi skirt and pink tulle midi skirt. I found this pink ball gown skirt and I knew it would be a perfect statement look for one of my favorite holidays! I added a crisp, white polka dot shirt to balance out the bright pink skirt. I didn’t want this look to look cheesy with such a bright color – I wanted the whole look to look effortless and classic, which I think I achieved with a classic top and minimal accessories. If you are missing the hubs in this post, he was behind the camera. But don’t worry, I have some more date night looks coming up where he will make an appearance (hopefully I can convince him again).
P.S. It was kind of windy that day so please excuse my crazy hair!
I wanna dedicate this blog post to my amazing husband! Not only does he allow me to play dress up and take fun photos like this (trust me, we are waaaay better behind the camera), but he has been the constant support behind all of my crazy, ongoing ideas. His unselfish, calm and caring demeanor allows me to be who I am and dream bigger than ever. He has been so incredibly supportive since I started this blog and my boutique. He has learned way more about fashion than he ever wanted to and is probably tired of me asking him to shoot me in “squares”. I can’t imagine life without this incredible man and I thankful to be on this journey of life and love with him!
Ok now lets talk about this stunning black tulle maxi skirt from Space 46 Boutique! You may remember last year’s Valentine’s Day post featuring a pink midi skirt from Space 46 Boutique – well I wanted to share a dressier and more classic look that year with this maxi version that I has been sitting in my closet and screaming for me to wear. This skirt is seriously magical and makes you feel so elegant and pretty instantly when you put it on. It’s the perfect skirt to wear for your very special evening out and for your truly Carrie Bradshaw-in-Paris moment.
I mean who knew a skort could be so pretty?! I instantly fell in love with the beautiful design and flowiness of this skort from Skort – Vivian Chan . It comes in white or black, but I love the white version of a perfect, pretty in pink Valentine’s Day look. As you know I’m obsessed with anything with bows so I had to add in some of my favorite pieces from my closet. I love how romantic this look feels from head-to-toe!

Valentine’ Day is just around the corner and here are some of my favorite holiday picks – for that someone special or simply for yourself. All of these goodies are so pretty and sweet, how can you resist them?! Whenever I create these “wish lists”, I always ending up buying more than wishing…sigh. Anyhow, click on the goodies to see where you can find them and we can be Valentine twinsies lol.
As you may realize by now, I’m pretty obsessed with shopping online at ASOS. Everything is super stylish and affordable and their petite line fits me really well. I actually wish I could fit their regular sizes because there are even more stylish options. When I saw this dress on ASOS recently, I immediately fell in love. This dress is totally my style – romantic, girly, soft and pretty. It’s the perfect dress for a romantic Valentine’s Date or spending the afternoon shopping with your girlfriends. I love the high collar detail with the bow and I think it would look just as pretty with a black high waisted skirt worn over it. I styled the look with a chunkier pair of heels to give it a bit more edge and personality.

I have been dying to share this collaboration I did recently with Space 46 Boutique!!! I have been obsessed with their gorgeous tulle skirts (I mean seriously how fun & flirty are they?!) and this pastel pink stunner is perfect just in time for Valentine’s Day. I coerced the hubby to get in front of the camera for this one and we had our talented friend Hanh photograph the session for us. I called it the 2nd Engagement Session we never had lol. He called it a drive in traffic to LA for one drink =P. I dreamt up this perfectly pastel Valentine’s date in my head and I knew that Bottega Louie with its amazing architecture in downtown Los Angeles would be the perfect setting. Throw in some confetti (literally), sparkly Louboutins, a very cute boy and it’s the perfect date for any girl =). I have to admit I stuck out like a sore thumb in my pastel pink tulle skirt running around downtown LA, but hey, anything for fashion, right? And I felt so special in it that I seriously didn’t want to take it off!
Special thanks to Space 46 Boutique for this pink tulle perfection!
