Last weekend, the hubs and I got to be wedding guests for a change! It’s nice sometimes to not be working at a wedding and just enjoy the company of good friends. I wore this gorgeous new dress from my boutique – I love how light, feminine and sexy this dress is! It’s a great dress for this time of the year and just in all, a fun evening dress. I definitely felt very girlie in it!
And if you live in SoCal, be sure to stop by MORNING LAVENDER’S HOLIDAY POP-UP going on this weekend in downtown Fullerton, CA! I will be there both days and so will this dress and lots of other gorgeous holiday collection pieces! Stop by and say hello!
A few weeks ago I went to NYC for work and was lucky enough to experience some of the beautiful fall weather in the city. One of my favorite spots in NYC is Central Park. As crowded as it gets sometimes, it always feels so calming and peaceful. I love just sitting in the park and people watching or strolling along the tree lined walkways. One of my favorite memories with the husband is when we took a row boat down the lake :). When I went to Central Park this time, I knew I had to wear one of my favorite new tulle skirts and channel my inner Carrie Bradshaw. I know it’s a bit cliche to wear a tulle skirt in NYC but I just had to. And I had to wear my new bow heels of course!
The hubs and I recently took a fun trip to NYC for our 1 year anniversary (wow time flies) and for NYFW. Our trips usually consist of eating and more eating. Since it was our anniversary, we took some time to celebrate by having a date night and watching the hilarious Book of Mormon on Broadway. Here is our date night look where I took one of my favorite tulle skirts from Morning Lavender that I have been wearing all summer and transitioned it to a more fall look by pairing it with a darker navy sweater and dressing it up a bit with a gorgeous crystal necklace. Jason wore a gray and navy combo that complemented my look but wasn’t too matchy-matchy.
I love how a nice jacket can transform any look! Here I am wearing one of my favorite skirts of the moment – this pretty tulle beauty from my boutique, Morning Lavender. The look is pretty, simple and sweet. I added this fitted stripe blazer Zara and of course my favorite sunnies from Topshop and suddenly the look is more classic and dressy. If I worked in a normal office environment, I wouldn’t be afraid to rock my tulle skirt like this :). But of course, I could also wear tulle skirts everyday, anywhere!
I can’t believe the hubs and I have been married for over 9 months now! Time does fly when you are having fun ;). I feel blessed to be married to an amazing man and I just love hearing him call me his “wife”. Today’s post is dedicated to my husband/talented photographer/person who puts up with me and all of my ideas. He’s my tall and handsome rock. This wifey tee from Ily Couture is so darling and I love pairing unexpected things together like with this gorgeous tulle midi skirt from my boutique, Morning Lavender. I also threw on this favorite new shoes of mine from Joe’s which almost felt like a ballerina with the tulle skirt. This look definitely puts some fun and glamour into the term “wifey” :).
I have been dying to share this collaboration I did recently with Space 46 Boutique!!! I have been obsessed with their gorgeous tulle skirts (I mean seriously how fun & flirty are they?!) and this pastel pink stunner is perfect just in time for Valentine’s Day. I coerced the hubby to get in front of the camera for this one and we had our talented friend Hanh photograph the session for us. I called it the 2nd Engagement Session we never had lol. He called it a drive in traffic to LA for one drink =P. I dreamt up this perfectly pastel Valentine’s date in my head and I knew that Bottega Louie with its amazing architecture in downtown Los Angeles would be the perfect setting. Throw in some confetti (literally), sparkly Louboutins, a very cute boy and it’s the perfect date for any girl =). I have to admit I stuck out like a sore thumb in my pastel pink tulle skirt running around downtown LA, but hey, anything for fashion, right? And I felt so special in it that I seriously didn’t want to take it off!
