I love wearing stripes and the 4th of July is a good time as any to wear this pattern! I love this fit and flare dress from Topshop with it’s baby blue stripes and cute cutouts. This dress has a great shape that is flattering and makes you feel dainty.
We are actually photographing a destination wedding this 4th of July in Bristol, Rhode Island. We love traveling to new pieces and capturing such beautiful memories for our couples. We couldn’t ask for a better way to spend the holiday! Follow us along Instagram to see more!
Today’s post shows a classic mix of closet essentials: a stripe skirt, fitted white button down shirt and a classic beige trench coat. I combined these pieces for an effortless look that is stylish and never goes out of style. I particularly love this navy stripe skirt from Chicwish because it has the right amount of pleats and flare. Their XS fits me perfectly and doesn’t overwhelm my petite frame. I added some modern updates to the look with oversized sunglasses and suede pointy pumps.
Fit and flare dresses are just so much fun to wear! I especially love how flattering the shape is on just about anyone! I found this halter style stripe dress from Minkpink on Nordstrom’s website and instantly loved the shape of the dress and different details like the high neck and low halter back. I paired it with my lace ankle pumps and new pink Tory Burch shoulder bag to add that extra girlie flair. We were also kinda blessed with the 90 degree weather in SoCal this past weekend so wearing this outfit felt perfect for the weather =).
Hi my name is Kim Le and I am addicted to midi skirts and bows. I try not to wear skirts everyday but when you find a beauty like this one, you can’t really help it! When I bought this one for my boutique, I knew I had to keep one for myself! I named it Belle because it has this great bell shape to it and it really makes you feel so girlie when you wear it! And I knew I had to pair it with my favorite new heels – these darling bow pumps from ASOS!
I love how a nice jacket can transform any look! Here I am wearing one of my favorite skirts of the moment – this pretty tulle beauty from my boutique, Morning Lavender. The look is pretty, simple and sweet. I added this fitted stripe blazer Zara and of course my favorite sunnies from Topshop and suddenly the look is more classic and dressy. If I worked in a normal office environment, I wouldn’t be afraid to rock my tulle skirt like this :). But of course, I could also wear tulle skirts everyday, anywhere!
I hope everyone is having a nice holiday! Today I plan on doing pretty much nothing! Even though I will probably end up working (the work never stops when you own your own business), holidays are great because I get the chance to see more of my family and friends. Today’s post features my favorite midi skirt of the moment and I thought it was perfect for the 4th of July! The direction of the navy stripes pretty much flatter everyone, especially my short self. I love how nautical this skirt looks and the linen blend makes it feel just as good as it looks. Plus it has pockets! It is definitely one of my favorite finds from Morning Lavender! I added my touch of holiday red with my favorite pair of Christian Louboutins – my favorite because it was one of my first gifts from the hubs – yes he spoils me…most of the time ;).
I have a certain fondness for maxi dresses and this particular one from BB Dakota just makes me smile. It is so colorful and fun that I can’t help but feel happy and bright whenever I wear it. Oh and I know I’ve been rocking the round sunglasses a lot lately so I thought I’d try something new with these mirrored Ray-Ban Aviators. I love the new, fun twist on these classic sunnies. Gotta mix it up a bit, ya know?
Here’s a great peplum top that can be worn dressy or casual – dress it up with nice pants or a pencil skirt or a more casual look with jeans. I love the shape of this top and the black & white stripes. Horizontal stripes are not always the most flattering but this top works because of the fit. I got the top in a petite size so the waist part hit at the perfect spot and didn’t make my torso look too long (or my legs too short – gotta get any help I can get :)). I paired it with these great fitting camel pants from Banana Republic for a classic look.
