Yes I have this gorgeous skirt from Morning Lavender in every color – the pink maxi skirt, the yellow maxi skirt, the gold maxi skirt and now this beautiful blue maxi skirt! I just love this bright blue color for Spring and who doesn’t love the flowiness of these skirts?! I had to get the waist taken in a little to raise the skirt higher on the waist – which meant I didn’t have to raise the hem and it made the bottom half of me look quite long. I find this blue color is really easy to wear and works well in many occasions. In honor of our Morning Lavender San Francisco Pop-Up Shop happening this weekend (see flyer below for more details), we are giving away one Amelia Blue Maxi Skirt to one random winner through an Instagram Giveaway! Check my @laceandlocks Instagram for more details!
My love for scallops and stripes this Spring continues! This blush scallop mini skirt is just the perfect shade of pink and the right length to make it easy-to-wear and pair with anything. Plus it matches my Chloe Mini Drew perfectly :). You’ll be seeing a lot more of this rosy pink color this year as it’s one of the Pantone colors of the year. I don’t mind – I find it an easy alternative and just as versatile as white or other neutrals.
As you can tell, I’m loving stripes lately (all the time actually) as I shared this simple stripe sheath dress just last week. I love me a good midi skirt and Spring/Summer is the perfect time to add a pretty one in white and navy stripes. I love the fullness of this skirt from J.O.A.. I think I love scallops as much as stripes so I paired it with this versatile and easy-to-wear scallop top from my Morning Lavender Boutique.
I’d love to hear your favorite Spring Trends going on right now! Share in the comments section below and I’ll try to find beautiful pieces that match for upcoming posts!
Today I’m wearing my 2nd Valentine’s Day inspired look (see also my heart sleeved sweater look) and also doing a special Instagram giveaway (see details below)! By now you know how much I love lace (hence my blog name =)), so it’s no surprise I’m obsessed with lace skirts. I love this romantic, black look that shows you don’t have to wear red or pink for Valentine’s! I paired the skirt with an off the shoulder crop top to create a pretty overall fit and flare shape.
It’s the first of February (seriously where did January go?!) and I’m kicking off this month with a cute Valentine’s Day look from Morning Lavender. It may be highly commercialized but the girlie girl in me has always loved Valentine’s Day and any excuse to dress cute (any carry around heart shaped balloons). This look combines pretty neutrals with a lil’ pop of color from the heart elbow sleeves.
I will have more Valentine’s Day inspiration coming to you soon including a special giveaway so stay tuned!
Greetings from Korea! It’s freezing here but it been such a wonderful experience so far! Follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (lacenlocks) if you want to see all the fun (and food) we are up too!
We shot this Valentine’s Day inspired look right before we left! If you have been following my blog, you know I love putting together date night looks (see black tulle maxi skirt and pink tulle midi skirt. I found this pink ball gown skirt and I knew it would be a perfect statement look for one of my favorite holidays! I added a crisp, white polka dot shirt to balance out the bright pink skirt. I didn’t want this look to look cheesy with such a bright color – I wanted the whole look to look effortless and classic, which I think I achieved with a classic top and minimal accessories. If you are missing the hubs in this post, he was behind the camera. But don’t worry, I have some more date night looks coming up where he will make an appearance (hopefully I can convince him again).
P.S. It was kind of windy that day so please excuse my crazy hair!
Happy New Year folks! I know it’s already January 11th but it was nice to take some time off work and social media. I caught the flu around Christmas which sucked but I was lucky to spend some time with family and friends the rest of the holidays. It’s definitely my favorite time of the year and our Christmas tree is actually still up lol.
Well I’m excited to bring new posts and looks to you in 2016! I have so many personal and professional goals and I hope this year goes by a lot slower than the last! One of my professional goals is to consistently have content on the blog so if there’s anything you would like me to style or share, let me know in the comments section below! I am a very girlie girl and obsessed with feminine fashion so you will often find me in a combination of fitted tops and midi skirts (see previous posts – tulle polka dot midi skirt and denim midi skirt). I found this floral midi skirt from Chicwish and I thought the woolen fabric was perfect for this time of the year. I paired it with an old off the shoulder sweater – I’ve started the usual new year purging of my closet so I’m finding some old favorites that I forgot about! I love combining old pieces in my closet with with new items and it saves some money in the bank too :).
The holidays are the perfect time to wear a red tulle skirt! I found this petite friendly one from ASOS and loved the fullness of it. I did wish it had more of an underlayer and non-elastic waist (be weary of see-through-ness), but I was pleased with the fullness and the price. I went completely red by adding these new red bow pumps. I love the black bow pumps I wear all the time from ASOS and been wanting a pair of red ones and found these ones with gorgeous, big ankle bows. These bow heels were very inexpensive from SheIn and my only complaint about them is they have white velcro on the straps (which is handy for small ankles), but the velcro is kind of big so it shows a little which you can see if you look closely at my feet (don’t look too closely – I hate my veins!). But again for the price (under $32), I can’t complain and it’s the type of shoe you probably won’t wear all the time. I might try trimming the velcro…
The presents you see here were used for a DIY tutorial with my Morning Lavender team. You can see our step-by-step guide on how to do this pretty DIY gold gift wrapping and also how to wrap a tulle bow!

As you can probably tell by now, I love wearing tulle skirts (see previous black maxi tulle skirt and pink midi tulle skirt posts) and the holidays are no exception! I love this adorable Polka Dot Tulle Skirt from Morning Lavender because it’s so versatile and easy to wear with it’s light cream color. I love the pretty tulle layer but I also feel that the skirt is easier to wear because it is not too full. I wear the skirt a lot with different options – a cropped black top for an evening look or with a cute fitted sweater tucked in for a cozier feel. I combined it with this fitted J.Crew plaid shirt for a truly festive look and my new gold bow heels that my wonderful Morning Lavender team surprised me with (they know me so well)! It’s really a blessing to do what you love and be surrounded by people you love! I hope you like this sweet holiday look as much as I do!
P.S. Our lights stopped working right before we did this shoot! Photoshoot fail but we kept on working! Creating content is fun and a lot of work in case you are wondering ;). Now back to buying gifts!!!
I love button down shirts from J.Crew because their tops in petite sizing fit me really well. I’m wearing a 00P here in this shirt. This top is currently 30% off with code GIFTNOW! I also love this polka dot button down (also 30% off) and I wear my J.Crew chambray shirt all the time.

I can’t believe it’s December and I don’t know about you but I’m swamped with holiday decorating, gifts, making plans with family and friends and of course the usual work and life balance. So I apologize for the lack of new outfit ideas lately but there is just so much going on! I love dressing up for the holidays and this feminine look I put together consists of some great options from White House Black Market. I never shopped there that much before (remember when it use to just be white & black items?!) but every since I got these cute culottes, I have become a big fan of their petite sizes and staple pieces. They are having a winter sale right now so be sure to take advantage of their 30% discount on regular priced items! I love this pink midi skirt which would be a great year-round skirt to have.
