You may remember this gorgeous yellow maxi skirt I posted earlier this year. Well this beautiful skirt now comes in lovely shade of light pink and I couldn’t resist showcasing it’s flowiness on the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC (by the way it is super hard to wake up early and get a shot on the bridge empty and in heels!) This skirt has layers of full fabric that make it extra flowy and special. I just love how it moves when I walk! I also love that I did not have to hem or alter this skirt. I wore it high-waisted and with 4″ heels and it fit perfectly. And better yet, Morning Lavender is having a private SALE just for Friends & Family! And because you all have become like family to me, I am happy to share this code with y’all! Use the code MLFF20 to save 20% OFF EVERYTHING include this lace top and maxi skirt. Hurry though – quantities are limited and the sale ends Friday, October 16, 2015 11:59PM PST! Don’t miss out on getting this amazing skirt for under $60!
Greetings from NYC! The husband and I have been here the last few days for NYFW and it’s been a whirlwind of fashion, fun and food (follow me on snapchat lacenlocks if you want to see more). We really love the city so much, especially the easily accessible public transportation and option to walk to so many great shops and delicious restaurants. There seems to always be something fun and new going on in the city! This all black look I’ve got going on here is a great look for fall – with an all black tone and a chic, minimal silhouette. I have the hardest time finding pants for my petite size and I’m usually too lazy for alterations so I was amazed when I found these chic pants from ASOS that fit perfectly in waist and length. I paired it with one of favorite new lace tops from my boutique, Morning Lavender for a flattering, overall chic, city look!
A few weeks ago I went to NYC for work and was lucky enough to experience some of the beautiful fall weather in the city. One of my favorite spots in NYC is Central Park. As crowded as it gets sometimes, it always feels so calming and peaceful. I love just sitting in the park and people watching or strolling along the tree lined walkways. One of my favorite memories with the husband is when we took a row boat down the lake :). When I went to Central Park this time, I knew I had to wear one of my favorite new tulle skirts and channel my inner Carrie Bradshaw. I know it’s a bit cliche to wear a tulle skirt in NYC but I just had to. And I had to wear my new bow heels of course!
Here is the last look from our trip to NYC! This entire look including the clutch and shoes totaled under $200! I love finding affordable clothing that doesn’t look cheap. The most expensive part of this look is actually the shoes which I purchased for about $70 on sale from Nordstrom last year. Here I combined one of my new fall skirts from Morning Lavender with a cropped tee and cropped blazer to help me look a lil’ bit taller =P. I’m excited to be going back to NYC next week for work! Can’t wait to experience some real fall weather!
And how great are these images taken by the hubs?! I found this super cool wall in Soho and the rest is his creative eye!
Hi folks! I am so excited to share a giveaway I am doing with my boutique Morning Lavender! Morning Lavender has been seriously a labor of love for me and I am so proud of the amazing feedback and love our shop has gotten! To thank you, I wanted to giveaway this matching top & skirt I wore in NYC at NYFW! I love matching sets and I especially love that this one is in a great plaid print that is so in trend right now. The outfit is partly spandex so it is a great stretchy material. I just love it!
