Happy Monday everyone!!! If you follow me on social media, you will notice something’s changed with this blog post! I finally cut my hair! I mean it’s been like 15 years people! Maybe it’s because I turned 35 last week and going through some mid-life crisis but I decided to finally change things up for a bit. I have only had my hair short once in my adult life because I always felt it made me look younger and cute, which when you are in your twenties isn’t necessarily the look you are going for. Also I have the thinnest and finest hair imaginable (everyone thought I was a boy until I was 4) and so I have always been self conscious of my flat hair. Well now that I’m older and I have an amazing hair stylist I trust (go Candy at Shear bliss OC), I decided to chop off quite a bit this past Friday especially since now I wouldn’t mind looking a lil’ younger lol. So yes I’m Lace & Less Locks but so far it’s been great with this hot SoCal weather and I got the hubby’s stamp of approval :)! Now that I have shorter hair, I think it shows off my shoulders and this sweetheart floral midi dress quite nicely, don’t you think? 🙂
I’m a big fan of full floral skirts and an even bigger fan of them when they are under $50! This darling floral skirt from
Skirt – Chicwish has gorgeous pleats, layers and a pretty blue pattern throughout. I wore this lovely look yesterday in Dallas and it was perfect for this warm weather. My husband’s family is from Dallas and I always enjoy visiting and exploring since a nice city. Hope everyone is having a great week as well!
Today’s post shows a classic mix of closet essentials: a stripe skirt, fitted white button down shirt and a classic beige trench coat. I combined these pieces for an effortless look that is stylish and never goes out of style. I particularly love this navy stripe skirt from Chicwish because it has the right amount of pleats and flare. Their XS fits me perfectly and doesn’t overwhelm my petite frame. I added some modern updates to the look with oversized sunglasses and suede pointy pumps.

Happy first day of Spring! I really love this time of the year and I can finally wear all of my favorite soft pretty colors (not that it really stops me in the Winter) and favorite dresses and rompers. I am obsessed with my new lace dress from ASOS! I was hesitant to buy it at first because it is a longer midi length than I am used to and being so petite, I was afraid the dress would overwhelm me. But when I got it, I fell in love with the pretty blush color, lace throughout and how beautifully the dress hung. I even got some compliments from the hubs which doesn’t happen that often lol. This dress is part of ASOS‘ salon collection – their luxury special occasion line. I think it’s a beautiful dress to wear for the spring or even to a special event like a wedding or prom. I also love how the dress looks like 2 pieces but is connected by a nude lining so it has that crop top-midi skirt look without showing any skin 😉 – very elegant and feminine!
Who doesn’t love a skirt with great movement?! This ASOS skirt in a bright purple is purrrfect for the summertime. I love wearing my skirts high waisted and pairing them with crop tops to add some much needed length to my look. I added my favorite summer floppy hat and I’m good to go!
This is probably the first weekend in a long time I am NOT working. I will be celebrating my best friend’s bachelorette this weekend so follow my INSTAGRAM for some snippets of all the fun and yes it will be a tame one! 🙂
I am so excited for today’s blog post! I did a cross blog collaboration with the lovely and stylish Brenna of Chic Street Style! Brenna is an amazing blogger and stylist from the Midwest specializing in dynamic cheap-chic looks. This was such a fun project to do with her! We each put our own style on this gorgeous white gingham midi skirt from Morning Lavender. As you can see, Brenna went for a chic Southern white look with the perfect floppy hat to tie it all together. I decided to go a bit more colorful California style with a bright print top. Either way, each look has it’s own stylish statement and I think you can see how versatile a white skirt can be for the summer! I hope you like this feature and hopefully I can network with other amazing bloggers to bring you even more looks. Thank you Chic Street Style for sending over your photos and your stylish inspiration!
Here is a peek and details of Brenna’s lovely look! See more on her Chic Street Style blog.

Happy Tuesday y’all! I have been trying to make a conscious effort to post on Mondays but it hasn’t been working so well lol. We got back from Texas on Saturday and I feel like a need a vacation from my vacation. But as a wedding photographer, this is always my busiest month of the year so there is no such thing as rest! Anyhoo, I wanted to share this outfit because I am wearing my favorite new shoes and new handbag! These pieces are the perfect compliments to my already girly wardrobe. The shoes from Joe’s are especially comfortable and can be paired with almost anything! The Kate Spade handbag was more of a fun buy – I usually don’t buy purses with prints but this one was too cute to resist! I thought I deserve a lil’ fun for all the hard work this month ;).
