I shared a neutral Valentine’s look and a romantic black lace skirt, and here’s my last Valentine’s inspired look with a pretty pop of red! I love the gorgeous red color and detailing of this lovely long sleeve lace romper! It’s a great, flirty date night look that’s comfortable and sexy at the same time! Hope you enjoyed all of my Valentine’s Day looks this year and whether you have plans or celebrating being single this year, it’s always fun to get a little dressed and dolled up, don’t you think?! =)
This romper is a size Small and the torso does run a bit short so it fits more like an XS, which is perfect for me! I would recommend ordering a size up!
Today I’m wearing my 2nd Valentine’s Day inspired look (see also my heart sleeved sweater look) and also doing a special Instagram giveaway (see details below)! By now you know how much I love lace (hence my blog name =)), so it’s no surprise I’m obsessed with lace skirts. I love this romantic, black look that shows you don’t have to wear red or pink for Valentine’s! I paired the skirt with an off the shoulder crop top to create a pretty overall fit and flare shape.
With October almost over (it’s crazy how time flies), I can’t help but think about the holidays right around the corner. I will be styling more dressy looks on the blog to offer some holiday outfit ideas. You may remember the stunning pink version of this lace midi dress I posted back in Spring. I originally bought the non-Petite size so it was longer than this navy one you see here. Sadly the petite navy one has sold out again but you can opt for the longer length in navy or pink. I kind of love both lengths and colors so yes I have it both versions :). This look takes a pretty, but simple lace dress and dresses it up with a great faux fur jacket, glittery heels and a crystal statement necklace. Don’t you love how accessories can just change an outfit?! Stay tuned for more holiday related posts!
P.S. The hubs and I are currently in Mexico to photograph a wedding so staring at this faux fur is making me feel even hotter.
You may remember this gorgeous yellow maxi skirt I posted earlier this year. Well this beautiful skirt now comes in lovely shade of light pink and I couldn’t resist showcasing it’s flowiness on the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC (by the way it is super hard to wake up early and get a shot on the bridge empty and in heels!) This skirt has layers of full fabric that make it extra flowy and special. I just love how it moves when I walk! I also love that I did not have to hem or alter this skirt. I wore it high-waisted and with 4″ heels and it fit perfectly. And better yet, Morning Lavender is having a private SALE just for Friends & Family! And because you all have become like family to me, I am happy to share this code with y’all! Use the code MLFF20 to save 20% OFF EVERYTHING include this lace top and maxi skirt. Hurry though – quantities are limited and the sale ends Friday, October 16, 2015 11:59PM PST! Don’t miss out on getting this amazing skirt for under $60!
Here’s one of my favorite dresses of the moment and a look I wore at NYFW. I really, really love this dress from Self Portrait but with all of our expenses, it was hard to spend so much on a dress at this time. So I was beyond excited when I found this more affordable version for my shop, Morning Lavender. I had a slight wardrobe malfunction – as I was getting into the cab on our way to an event, my strap snapped and broke. Luckily this dress can be worn as a strapless or with straps so I just took off the other strap and wore it as a strapless look. Either way, I am in love with the lace and nude contrast and excited to find more ways to style this pretty dress! Just an FYI – I had to get the waist part taken in my by tailor to have it fit better. The small is a true small and I am usually an XS.
Greetings from NYC! The husband and I have been here the last few days for NYFW and it’s been a whirlwind of fashion, fun and food (follow me on snapchat lacenlocks if you want to see more). We really love the city so much, especially the easily accessible public transportation and option to walk to so many great shops and delicious restaurants. There seems to always be something fun and new going on in the city! This all black look I’ve got going on here is a great look for fall – with an all black tone and a chic, minimal silhouette. I have the hardest time finding pants for my petite size and I’m usually too lazy for alterations so I was amazed when I found these chic pants from ASOS that fit perfectly in waist and length. I paired it with one of favorite new lace tops from my boutique, Morning Lavender for a flattering, overall chic, city look!
I found this body hugging lace midi dress from For Love & Lemons and I am in love! I love all of the lace detailing, especially the sleeves and back. It comes with a nude slip to give it a great sheer look but covers up the areas you need ;). P.S. I didn’t realize how tan I was until I wore this all white look!
This lace midi skirt is definitely one of my favorite finds as a buyer for Morning Lavender. I just love how feminine the skirt is and plus it has pleats and pockets! It’s literally perfection in lace. I paired this girlie skirt with another classic staple – the denim shirt. A denim shirt is a versatile piece – great for layering and adding a different, casual vibe to any look. It also makes for a great summer to fall transition look! Today I’m sharing another recent favorite romper of mine – this one from my boutique Morning LavenderMorning Lavender Lace Romper. Rompers are a pain for us girls to use the bathroom but I swear they are so comfy and cute – it makes up for it! A sad story (kind of) about my shoes – recently on our flight from Boston->NYC, we noticed upon landing in NYC that someone had broken the lock on our checked in suitcase. It was not TSA because they would not have to break the lock and because they usually leave a note if they had searched our bag. Our bag looked like it had been rummaged through but at first inspection, it looked as if nothing had been stolen. A couple of days later while in NYC, I was looking for my favorite mules (pictured below) and noticed they were nowhere to be found! Someone had stolen my mules that were sold out on Nordstrom and Dillards! And they were size 5 – who steals size 5 shoes?! I’m fortunate they weren’t my favorite pair of bow shoes, but still just the thought of someone violating your stuff sucks. I went on a frantic search online and actually found them on sale at Nordstrom Rack! So I bought 2 new pairs (size 6) but they are just a teeny bit too big. So that’s my shoe story and moral of the story? Don’t steal people!
I’m back in Los Angeles and loving the summer weather here – not too hot or humid ;). It’s the perfect time of the year to wear all those pretty summer dresses and one of my favorite styles this season is the off the shoulder dress. I found this one adorable dress from Stylestalker that fit me perfectly in size XS. I love the darling details as well as the fit and flare shape of the dress! I wore it with my favorite new heels from Kay Unger and yes, I am obsessed with bows on my shoes =).
