Last Spring (with much longer hair), I fell in love with this off the shoulder floral dress from ASOS. Well this year, they came out with a more colorful version in bright Spring colors and I just had to get it as I love the fit and style so much! I think this beautiful dress is a serious contender for my search for a wedding guest dress! It does run tight so I might not be able to eat as much ;).
On another note, looking back at last year’s post, I’m still debating whether to grow my hair out or keep it short! I also had more of side part with the longer hair. So what do y’all think, should I keep my hair short or grow it out?!
ASOS is having a SHOP MORE, SAVE MORE SALE where the more you spend, the more you save! Be sure to take advantage of this sale which ends on 3/29/2016 if you plan to buy this dress!
Can you tell by now that Spring is one of my favorite times of the year?! :). I love transitioning to the brighter colors and of course the floral prints! I fell in love with this sweetheart floral dress thanks to the big and pink floral pattern and of course the pockets. It’s a beautiful dress to wear to an outdoor wedding and has just the right amount of color, shape and flare. I’m attending a few weddings this year so it’s been fun to be on the hunt for the right wedding guest dresses. See my previous post on the perfect pleated floral maxi dress! Plus you can save 20% off these styles until 3/18/2016 4am EST using code CLOVER4!
It’s tough when you spend all that money on a dress for a wedding and you can’t wear it again :(. So it’s nice to have a versatile dress like this where you can easily add a chambray shirt like I did here and wear it like a pretty, floral midi skirt!
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect wedding guest dress and here are some of my other favorite picks – all of which are under $150 and all on sale for 20% off thanks to ASOS’ sitewide sale using code CLOVER4 until 3/18/2016 4am EST!
With Spring and wedding season almost here, I’m starting to look for pretty dresses for various occasions. I’m a big fan of maxi dresses and this pleated pink floral maxi dress has all the right amounts of pretty! I am obsessed with the pleats and long, flutter sleeves. I just got the dress so I might alter it 1-2 inches since it didn’t come in a petite size. I still had to get it though since it was so darn pretty! I paired the dress with one of my favorite shoe trends going on right now caged heels. It’s a great alternative to your typical strappy shoe and I think it still looks classic but trendy at the same time. I’ll be on the lookout for more pretty occasion dresses so stay tuned!
Happy New Year folks! I know it’s already January 11th but it was nice to take some time off work and social media. I caught the flu around Christmas which sucked but I was lucky to spend some time with family and friends the rest of the holidays. It’s definitely my favorite time of the year and our Christmas tree is actually still up lol.
Well I’m excited to bring new posts and looks to you in 2016! I have so many personal and professional goals and I hope this year goes by a lot slower than the last! One of my professional goals is to consistently have content on the blog so if there’s anything you would like me to style or share, let me know in the comments section below! I am a very girlie girl and obsessed with feminine fashion so you will often find me in a combination of fitted tops and midi skirts (see previous posts – tulle polka dot midi skirt and denim midi skirt). I found this floral midi skirt from Chicwish and I thought the woolen fabric was perfect for this time of the year. I paired it with an old off the shoulder sweater – I’ve started the usual new year purging of my closet so I’m finding some old favorites that I forgot about! I love combining old pieces in my closet with with new items and it saves some money in the bank too :).
Can I just talk about how much I love this dress from Chicwish?! It’s just so light, flowy and pretty! It actually comes with a tie on sash for your waist for a more fitted look but I decided to wear it more loose and flowy for a swing dress type of look. I don’t think you can go wrong either way. And did I mention the dress is on sale for $62?! Gotta love online shopping!
Happy Monday everyone!!! If you follow me on social media, you will notice something’s changed with this blog post! I finally cut my hair! I mean it’s been like 15 years people! Maybe it’s because I turned 35 last week and going through some mid-life crisis but I decided to finally change things up for a bit. I have only had my hair short once in my adult life because I always felt it made me look younger and cute, which when you are in your twenties isn’t necessarily the look you are going for. Also I have the thinnest and finest hair imaginable (everyone thought I was a boy until I was 4) and so I have always been self conscious of my flat hair. Well now that I’m older and I have an amazing hair stylist I trust (go Candy at Shear bliss OC), I decided to chop off quite a bit this past Friday especially since now I wouldn’t mind looking a lil’ younger lol. So yes I’m Lace & Less Locks but so far it’s been great with this hot SoCal weather and I got the hubby’s stamp of approval :)! Now that I have shorter hair, I think it shows off my shoulders and this sweetheart floral midi dress quite nicely, don’t you think? 🙂
I’m a big fan of full floral skirts and an even bigger fan of them when they are under $50! This darling floral skirt from
Skirt – Chicwish has gorgeous pleats, layers and a pretty blue pattern throughout. I wore this lovely look yesterday in Dallas and it was perfect for this warm weather. My husband’s family is from Dallas and I always enjoy visiting and exploring since a nice city. Hope everyone is having a great week as well!
Happy Wednesday! I can’t believe we are more than halfway through May! Time sure does fly! It’s the time of year where most of us have weddings to attend so I decided to start an installment on the blog called Wedding Wednesdays. I have photographed many weddings and have seen MANY do’s and don’ts so I decided to share some dresses/looks that I think are perfect and appropriate to wear as a wedding guest. First up is this coral floral beauty from ASOS! It has a beautiful bright color and shape! I love the layers of tulle that give it that ladylike shape. This type of dress would look great when attending a garden or outdoor wedding. It’s fun and bright without stealing too much of the bride’s thunder ;).
Today’s confession: I’m kind of a dress hoarder. I find a super pretty dress now and I just have to buy it! I mean how times how you adored a dress but had no occasion to wear it and so you didn’t buy it and then when you finally have a reason to wear a lovely dress, you have nothing! That has happened to me so many times that finally I just started to collect gorgeous dresses. For a long time, I spent most of my day in front of the computer editing (I still do) so I really had no special occasions to wear pretty dresses. But as I got older (sigh) and got invited to weddings, showers, etc… I found the need for an amazing dress collection. And honestly I just love pretty things so having a closet full of pretty things just kind of happened (don’t tell the hubs). So today’s post is one of those dresses. Seriously – organza, floral and off the shoulder in a great fit?! What more can you ask from in this gorgeous ASOS dress. I love their petite sizing because everything fits me so well – sometimes even a little too snug. This dress is so stylish and pretty – it would be the perfect dress to wear to that summer wedding! But hurry the dress is a part of ASOS’s exclusive salon collection so they only carry a limited number of quantities in each dress.
