Stripes are one of my favorite trends for Spring and this cute stripe midi dress I curated for Morning Lavender is so darling with its self-tying bow straps! The midi length on this dress gives it a classic, sophisticated look while the adjustable straps and waist tie are super flattering. I’m a fan of anything flattering and functional!
Spring is almost here and I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m pretty excited about it! It’s probably my favorite season in terms of weather and fashion. I love the lighter hues and fabrics and not wearing socks lol! I love wearing sandals and heels so these new Spring gems from M.GEMI have me even more excited for the season. I love that it’s a sexy slip on sandal with a unique lace up detailing. The nude/taupe color makes it a perfect Spring staple that will go with just about any look.
On today’s post, I’m sharing a very pretty off the shoulder lace dress in the prettiest shade of mauve. This dress is meant to be midi on most average heights (see dress on the model) but on my petite frame, it cuts right at my ankles when I wear heels. It’s kind of a weird spot for the dress to hit but I still think it’s a very flattering dress due to its high waisted seam. I love Spring and I’m looking forward to all of the gorgeous Spring dresses!
Valentine’s may be over but that doesn’t mean you have to stop searching for gorgeous date night outfits. I love this bodycon dress because although it’s very sexy in cut and shape, I love the feminine touches in the pretty hue and the scallop detailing. Due to its bodycon nature, the dress isn’t as forgiving as others so I made sure to eat a lighter meal before wearing this sexy number! I got a “wow” from the hubs when he saw me in this so I guess he approves ;).
I previously wore this pretty sleeveless trench as a dress with high boots for Fall but here I’m showing how to wear it differently as an outer layer and as a great Spring transition piece. I paired it with one of my closet must-haves – an easy-to-wear striped dress that pretty much goes with anything. I especially love packing this dress when I travel because there are so many ways to wear it. Going into Spring, I’m also wearing a lot of booties and peep-toed shoes as I’m storing some of the bigger boots for next Fall. Here I’m wearing this comfy pair from Naturalizer and if you use my code LNL20 at checkout, you can save 20% off!
February is halfway here and I can’t believe we are almost transitioning into Spring! To transition to Spring, I’ve been updating my wardrobe with more color and more floral. This yellow floral maxi dress I curated for Morning Lavender is a pretty and perfect transition to Spring! I am obsessed with the bright pop of yellow and the flattering wrap style of the dress. Plus the high-low hem of the dress makes it petite friendly for gals like me ;).
If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with anything with bows so naturally when I found this darling Bow Dress, I was in love! The dress has a flattering fit and flare shape and the low back adds a interesting and adorable detail. This dress is perfect for your Valentine’s date night but also for a fun event or party. It has the right amount of cuteness and fun!
Say hello to the perfect fringe shawl! I’ve been wearing this cozy cardigan everywhere – over a slim black dress like this or paired with my favorite high-waisted jeans and booties. It has the perfect amount of drape, comes in a gorgeous taupe color and looks way more elegant than the price. Note: it’s sold out in size Small (which I’m wearing) BUT I’ve tried on both the size Medium & Large and the main difference in sizes is the length of the back. I almost went with the Large size because I wanted a longer length in the back! Hurry and get yours because they have already sold out in our San Francisco boutique!
I also wanted to take some time today and thank everyone for the support of my boutique business! We recently opened our first Morning Lavender brick-and-mortar boutique in San Francisco so I’ve been commuting back and forth from Orange County on a weekly basis as we staff the store and get things settled! It has been a DREAM and we are overwhelmed with all of the love and support. I haven’t had much time for myself lately, especially to shop so the blog has been a bit slower but I promise to get back to styling some great looks for you all!
Today I’m sharing one of my favorite dresses that I purchased on Nordstrom’s site. I’ve been in love with Self Portrait dresses for some time now and I love that they have been recently added to Nordstrom’s gorgeous selection of dresses. I needed a dress for my special birthday date night dinner last week and it was very helpful to find such a wide and nice selection of dresses available on Nordstrom.com. I received the dress just in time thanks to Nordstrom’s great shipping policy and received a ton of compliments when I wore this dress for our delicious dinner at Providence in LA. The beauty of this dress speaks for itself with its incredible lace detailing and lovely midi length. It is a bit of splurge but the quality and fit of the dress are flawless. This is definitely one of those dresses that make you feel confident and feminine and to me that’s worth it ;).

One of my travel goals has always been to visit the amazing lavender fields in Provence! I have this obsession with lavender (as you can tell by my boutique name Morning Lavender), and the husband obliged and let us take a day trip to the south of France in search for this stunning scenery. We took the 3 hour train ride from Paris to Avignon, rented a car, passed through the charming town of Gordes and ended up in Sault 1 hour later where the lavender was endless and the sun was just about the set. It smelled heavenly everywhere and after you got over the fact that there were just as many bees as there were lavender, you realized how lucky you are to experience such a beautiful place. Renting a car in the countryside allowed us to see so much more of Provence and we fell in love with the charm and simplicity of the region. I’d love to go back sometime and see more of the gorgeous countryside!
