Today I’m sharing one of my favorite pieces from my boutique, Morning Lavender!!! We recently released our Classic Collection, a special curated and designed collection of feminine favorites that we believe will never go out of style. One of the pieces we absolutely love is our Madeline Pink Bow Coat. With it’s feminine silhouette, pink bow accent and gold buttons, it’s hard not to see why it’s a must have for every girlie girl! So today, I’ve teamed up with our shop to GIVEAWAY one pretty Madeline Pink Bow Coat to one lucky winner! The contest will run on Instagram only so be sure to find me on Instagram: @laceandlocks and follow the details to enter!
It’s to default to black and greys this time of the year but why not add some color to the cold weather?! I have an endless love for the color pink so having a pink coat just makes sense. And not just any pink coat but a double breasted, petite friendly one like this gorgeous coat from Banana Republic. I paired it with more pops of color like this amazing fuchsia satchel Henri Bendel and Plaid Blanket Scarf from Morning Lavender. It’s really nice that it’s finally chilly in California (and by chilly I mean 60’s) and I can wear my coats!

I am loving camel this season and this gorgeous camel coat with faux fur is perfect! I love the color of the faux fur trim and the fact that the coat is just under $100! It looks more expensive than it is and is such a great way to look stylish and keep warm this season!
It may be Monday but I’m bringing the glam today because it’s never too early to start thinking about holiday dressing! I just LOVE, LOVE the holidays and one of my favorites parts is dressing up! There are a variety of styles you can wear – sequins, gowns, glitter or textures – so many that I will try to share as many as I can with you this year!
First up is a twist on the classic little black dress by Kate Spade New York. The back of this dress has an oversized bow for that surprising wow factor and extra glam. I added some classic touches – a gorgeous pearl necklace and peep of red of course :). Stay tuned for more holiday posts!
Greetings from Mexico! The hubs and I are still traveling for work but I’m excited to share some more looks with you this week! It’s still pretty warm here in SoCal so I’m still able to pull off sleeveless looks like this. If it were colder, I’d probably add a simple longsleeve tee like this one underneath and add some tights/leggings. I love this trench from Chicwish because it can be a dress or outerwear, especially since it hits lower on me in length! It has pockets, a great shape and belted fit so you can adjust it easily for your frame. I really think Fall is my favorite season! Now if only we had real Fall weather!
I love a good steal and this easy to wear white coat from H&M is ON SALE for under $30! I love the relaxed, boxy fit and it looks great with or without the belt. This coat is a great addition to your winter whites without breaking the bank. I don’t have a normal office job, which is awesome most of the time but I do miss dressing for the Corporate world like I use to during my old Accounting days (yes I was an Accountant). I love this fitted sheath dress from Ann Taylor and the size 00P fits me perfectly in the shoulders and length. I threw in some fun accessories to dress up the look and there you have a stylish look for the office with affordable, closet staples that you can wear over and over again.
I put together this classic look filled with some of my favorite things: bows, polka dots, neutrals and of course Chanel :). This is a great look that’s perfect for the office and Fall weather. I love how feminine and classic pieces work well in this neutral palette.

I just love a great fitting winter coat and this tweed coat from Chicwish fits just perfectly! I love the pattern and style of this warm and stylish piece. Southern California winters aren’t exactly as cold as other areas so I am able to wear it over a simple, yet adorable tulle dress as seen here. This look shows that you can wear tulle in your everyday look and not look too dressy or overdone. Who doesn’t need some tulle in their life, right?!
P.S. I’m sorry for the lack of posts lately! It has been a hectic (but exciting) month for Morning Lavender. We moved into a brand new warehouse and office and had 3 successful pop-up shops – all in February! Thank you everyone for your love and support!
I love combining pretty colors – such as this love combination of pink + grey. These pretty hues add a feminine flair to what is considered a casual look. I am in love with my new roll up chinos from Banana Republic which are comfy and flattering at the same time. I am also wearing my new crossbody tote bag from Madewell which is the perfect size for me! I love how you can wear it three ways: crossbody, on one side, or as a satchel. It holds everything I need without overwhelming my petite frame.
I seriously have spent most of last year searching for the perfect wide leg black pant! I wanted them to be high-waisted and the pant leg to be wide but not too wide where my small frame looks like I am swimming in them! And then recently I found the perfect pair from Ann Taylor. I got these pants in size 00 Petite and they fit me perfectly and they are currently 60% off! I love the silhouette of the pants and with a pair of black heels or booties – you can amazingly look way taller. I also paired the pants with a lovely blouse also from Ann Taylor (and 40% off) and my classic camel coat from Morning Lavender. I love this head-to-toe chic workday look! It’s time to get cranking in 2015!
