If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with anything with bows so naturally when I found this darling Bow Dress, I was in love! The dress has a flattering fit and flare shape and the low back adds a interesting and adorable detail. This dress is perfect for your Valentine’s date night but also for a fun event or party. It has the right amount of cuteness and fun!
I’ve received many requests on showcasing some more work related outfits on the blog so today I’m sharing this stylish look that’s suitable for the office and versatile for other occasions as well. I use to work as a CPA in a Corporate setting so business casual was my wardrobe most of the week. Now that I’m my own #girlboss/owner of a fabulous boutique, I have the freedom to wear just about anything and retired my business casual wardrobe. I’m often at the office/warehouse so comfy shoes is pretty much my staple these days. Back then, I shopped at Banana Republic quite a bit and after visiting their site recently, I found that they still carry a lot of chic pieces perfect for work. I found the cutest bow button down shirt and darling red scallop skirt from Banana Republic and combined it with an old tweed blazer I had. Both of these pieces can easily be re-worn with more casual looks like jeans with the shirt or a great Fall sweater with the skirt. Although my office wear has changed, it’s fun to revisit business casual looks! I hope you enjoyed today’s post as much as I did!
If you been following my blog, you know that I just love wearing rompers! I think rompers are very comfortable and flattering on petite gals like myself. One of my go-to sites to shop for rompers is ASOS thanks to their great selection of dressy and casual rompers and petite friendly sizing. I found this darling nude bow romper and immediately became obsessed with the oversized bow and overall feminine look. I can wear rompers all the time so having a dressy one that I can wear to nicer occasions is just perfect!
What better way to dress up a simple, denim look than with a pop of color in the form of pink bow heels?! These affordable statement shoes (only $25!) might not be the most comfortable but they are the cutest!
Last Spring (with much longer hair), I fell in love with this off the shoulder floral dress from ASOS. Well this year, they came out with a more colorful version in bright Spring colors and I just had to get it as I love the fit and style so much! I think this beautiful dress is a serious contender for my search for a wedding guest dress! It does run tight so I might not be able to eat as much ;).
On another note, looking back at last year’s post, I’m still debating whether to grow my hair out or keep it short! I also had more of side part with the longer hair. So what do y’all think, should I keep my hair short or grow it out?!
ASOS is having a SHOP MORE, SAVE MORE SALE where the more you spend, the more you save! Be sure to take advantage of this sale which ends on 3/29/2016 if you plan to buy this dress!
As you can tell, I’m loving stripes lately (all the time actually) as I shared this simple stripe sheath dress just last week. I love me a good midi skirt and Spring/Summer is the perfect time to add a pretty one in white and navy stripes. I love the fullness of this skirt from J.O.A.. I think I love scallops as much as stripes so I paired it with this versatile and easy-to-wear scallop top from my Morning Lavender Boutique.
I’d love to hear your favorite Spring Trends going on right now! Share in the comments section below and I’ll try to find beautiful pieces that match for upcoming posts!
Greetings from Korea! It’s freezing here but it been such a wonderful experience so far! Follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (lacenlocks) if you want to see all the fun (and food) we are up too!
We shot this Valentine’s Day inspired look right before we left! If you have been following my blog, you know I love putting together date night looks (see black tulle maxi skirt and pink tulle midi skirt. I found this pink ball gown skirt and I knew it would be a perfect statement look for one of my favorite holidays! I added a crisp, white polka dot shirt to balance out the bright pink skirt. I didn’t want this look to look cheesy with such a bright color – I wanted the whole look to look effortless and classic, which I think I achieved with a classic top and minimal accessories. If you are missing the hubs in this post, he was behind the camera. But don’t worry, I have some more date night looks coming up where he will make an appearance (hopefully I can convince him again).
P.S. It was kind of windy that day so please excuse my crazy hair!
The holidays are the perfect time to wear a red tulle skirt! I found this petite friendly one from ASOS and loved the fullness of it. I did wish it had more of an underlayer and non-elastic waist (be weary of see-through-ness), but I was pleased with the fullness and the price. I went completely red by adding these new red bow pumps. I love the black bow pumps I wear all the time from ASOS and been wanting a pair of red ones and found these ones with gorgeous, big ankle bows. These bow heels were very inexpensive from SheIn and my only complaint about them is they have white velcro on the straps (which is handy for small ankles), but the velcro is kind of big so it shows a little which you can see if you look closely at my feet (don’t look too closely – I hate my veins!). But again for the price (under $32), I can’t complain and it’s the type of shoe you probably won’t wear all the time. I might try trimming the velcro…
The presents you see here were used for a DIY tutorial with my Morning Lavender team. You can see our step-by-step guide on how to do this pretty DIY gold gift wrapping and also how to wrap a tulle bow!

It may be Monday but I’m bringing the glam today because it’s never too early to start thinking about holiday dressing! I just LOVE, LOVE the holidays and one of my favorites parts is dressing up! There are a variety of styles you can wear – sequins, gowns, glitter or textures – so many that I will try to share as many as I can with you this year!
First up is a twist on the classic little black dress by Kate Spade New York. The back of this dress has an oversized bow for that surprising wow factor and extra glam. I added some classic touches – a gorgeous pearl necklace and peep of red of course :). Stay tuned for more holiday posts!
Today’s post showcases a great way to wear pink this time of the year. I really love ASOS for their petite collection and I also really love their selection of scuba material items like this infamous peach midi skirt and pink halter dress. The material gives a great fit and flare shape that is so darling. I added this cropped leather jacket to add some warmth and edge to the look. But you know, I gotta add my bows to complete the look! 🙂
This jacket from Nordstrom comes in three colors and has a great fit. The XS fits me nicely and I can see myself wearing it with some many different looks – jeans, maxi skirts and over dresses like this look today.
