Now that Thanksgiving is over, I’m focused on SALES and my favorite – the holiday season! I love dressing for the season but being 20 weeks pregnant, it’s been hard to find too many bottoms that fit me well. Luckily it is not too cold in SoCal so I can wear my share of sweater dresses and boots for most of the season. This American Eagle sweater dress (which I also have and wore in cream ) is comfy as it is cute. My bump was much smaller in this blog post but the stretchy knit allows me to wear it now and for hopefully many more months. And did I mention that everything on the American Eagle site is 40% OFF plus FREE SHIPPING?! I also recently purchased these knee high tan boots that are also on SALE at 40% OFF from Nordstrom! I just love the neutral color that goes with everything and the 3.5 heel is surprisingly comfy, which is great for this pregnant lady.
Yes! It’s my favorite time of the year for sales and I’ve rounded up my favorite clothing sales for this year. See this post for my favorite BLACK FRIDAY SALES FOR THE HOME.
As usual, I must start with our MORNING LAVENDER BUCKET SALE where we have thousands of select items on sale for $10-$20-$30! The ends Sunday, 11/25/2018 11:59pm PST! As I mentioned, there are thousands of select items on sale, but here are some of my favorites!
This post is a long time coming!!! We actually finished our master bathroom remodel almost one year ago but it took me a while to finish decorating it and take photos. When we bought our house last summer, we fell in love with the house but a few rooms needed updating and one of those rooms was the master bathroom. Compared to the rest of the house, the master bathroom was a bit small and felt cramped for two people. So we updated the bathroom into a bright, white and minimal space:
My bump is hardly big but most of my pants and high waisted jeans don’t fit anymore. My closet has been reduced to the comfiest, stretchiest items I can find. So I decided to do a post on the 3 non-maternity maternity styles I’m wearing right now for Fall at 15 weeks pregnant (2nd trimester). All of these items are non-maternity specific so I can re-wear them again after the baby is born (hopefully). I haven’t done a post like this before (sharing styling tips with multiple outfit ideas) so comment below if you enjoyed this post and want me to do more of them! I can’t wait to update my looks for when my bump gets bigger!
Fall is my favorite time of the year (despite it being 80 degrees in SoCal lately). I dragged the hubs to the pumpkin patch this year as I’m trying to find more ways to document the stages in my pregnancy. Getting the hubs to take photos of me and the bump is easy but it will be tricky to get him to agree to maternity photos! Lately I’ve been living in whatever is the most comfortable. I wore the softest, comfiest off the shoulder sweater dress that is both very flattering and petite friendly. I loved the dress so much that I also purchased the one in burgundy! I can’t wait to see how the dress fits and looks once my belly gets bigger! And I can’t wait to visit the pumpkin patch next year with our lil’ one!
It’s a little surreal to be writing this post right now. I can’t believe I’ve already made it past my first trimester! In case you missed it, here was our pregnancy announcement last month:
I found out pretty early on that I was pregnant (8 days post transfer), but last time I had a devastating chemical miscarriage so I didn’t want to be overly excited. But I had this feeling that this was it – this was finally our baby and despite being a lower grade embryo than our last one, our baby was so strong. As soon as our doctor confirmed it, I couldn’t wait to share the news!!! I waited so long to say the words “I’M PREGNANT”!!!!
Being petite and all, I’m always looking for brands that are petite friendly and I was happy to see a new petite line between Macy’s and NY Collection. I found this gorgeous, sleeveless floral jumpsuit and I love how the petite collection is tailored to women 5’4″ and under (I’m only 5’0″). The shape was very flattering and the continuous floral pattern of the jumpsuit actually made me look and feel taller! Jumpsuits are so on trend right now and I love that I didn’t need to get this one altered! I’m also a fan of this petite belted jumpsuit and this petite polka dot jumpsuit. The collection also features a variety of petite friendly dresses, tops and pants – all designed with the right proportions for us petite gals!
After my latest IVF transfer, I’ve been taking a much needed break from work – spending less hours working and more time focusing on me and keeping myself healthy and less stressed. It has been so hot in Southern California and I’ve been living in easy-to-wear dresses that are stylish and comfy at the same time. I love this striped button midi dress from you guessed it, Morning Lavender. I know I wear a lot of stuff from my own boutique but (a) I have easy access to it (b) everything is cute (because duh I curated it) and (c) I don’t really have much time to shop elsewhere. Anyway, this is one of my favorite dresses from our newest arrivals. Scroll down to see other cute dresses with the button trend!
It’s been a while since I blogged about our IVF but I just wanted to update y’all on what’s happening since I’ve been getting a lot of questions on my Instagram. We really appreciate everyone being so concerned with our #ivfjourney and in this with us!
Our 2nd transfer is tomorrow!!! As I noted in this post, after egg retrieval and genetic testing in December, we had 3 viable embryos. In February, we did our 1st transfer with 1 embryo which resulted in a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage. We took a month off to heal and regroup. In May, I started taking Depot Lupron which my doctor recommended to cleanse my body and get rid of more of the endometriosis. These injections last 1 month and I did them for 2 months for it to be more effective. A few weeks ago I started my transfer cycle (estrogen pills and progesterone injections) and fast forward to now and we have our transfer tomorrow!
So how do I feel?! Honestly, very anxious. After the 1st failed transfer, I wanted to try again immediately. You know when you want something so bad? Our doctor actually advised us not to rush into another transfer especially since we only have 2 embryos left and so we went on vacation to Hawaii and just focused on the business. So I’ve been waiting patiently these past 5 months and the day is finally almost here. It’s hard not to forget the devastation of last time and not blame yourself for why it failed. So this time, I decided to do some things to better prepare myself both physically and emotionally and I will be sharing these 10 things with you in today’s blog post. Keep in mind, I have not had a successful transfer yet so I’m not sure if what I’m doing is right. But emotionally I feel better and more equipped to handle the outcome.
