Hi folks!!!! First of all, Jason & I want to THANK YOU for all your thoughtful messages regarding my last post. The past 3 weeks have not been easy but I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. I am now off my IVF hormones and finally not feeling bloated all of the time. My spirit and confidence are coming back and I’m starting to feel more comfortable dressing cute and sharing some #OOTD with you all. The weather has also been super warm lately so I’m busting out my favorite items to wear for Spring – jumpsuits and rompers. Seriously I have an obsession with these adult size onesies – I probably have enough to wear one every day of the month! This new one from my boutique – Morning Lavender is my new favorite jumpsuit because (1) I’m a sucker for anything yellow and (2) because it has the most adorable bow in the back! Not to mention how comfortable this jumpsuit is – I feel like I’m wearing really chic pajamas! And yes these images were photographed by the hubs outside Morning Lavender Cafe because that’s where we spend all of our time now!
It’s January but I’m already looking ahead to Spring with this bright and feminine transitional look! It’s been quite hectic with work but when I get a chance to dress up or wear heels, you will usually find me in something feminine & classic. I love how fun and easy-to-wear this bright pink bell sleeve dress is and I’m wearing my favorite new pink bow shoes I got over Christmas! You guys know me – I love me a good bow shoe!
Today I’m sharing a jacket I can’t stop wearing on repeat. Our Morning Lavender Elle Taupe Layered Jacket is such a fun, trendy jacket that you can wear multiple ways and here I’ve showed the jacket 2 ways: over a dress and dressed down a bit with jeans. You guys asked for more “everyday looks” so I’m going to try to show different ways to wear different looks for y’all. I honestly wear this jacket all the time and I get so many compliments on it. It’s also so soft that I’ve had strangers come up to ask me to feel my jacket…lol. We recently restocked the Elle Taupe Layered Jacket – it sold out various times so get your hands on it now if you want one!
The first look is layering the jacket over a simple black dress and pairing it with some cute black booties for a great transitional look. The jacket itself has so much focus that you don’t have to have such a busy look underneath. I’m also accessorizing the outfit with my favorite new go-to bag – the Waverly Crossbody from Lo & Sons. I bought this bag over Christmas and I LOVE it because you can also wear this bag multiple ways. It’s such a great bag for traveling because it’s petite but versatile. Here I’m wearing it as a crossbody and later on I’ll show you another way to wear it.
I’ll be honest – after we started our IVF journey, I haven’t been particularly excited to dress up, which is probably why you haven’t seen much content from me in the past few weeks! I apologize for the lack of content lately as we’ve been focused on our (1) IVF and (2) new boutique and our (3) home remodel. Thank you again for all the support – it’s helped us get through this stressful time. I’m finally feeling back to myself again and after all side effects of the injections (i.e. bloating). Hurray – I can fit into my jeans again! This beautiful red dress from Express (which is currently 50% off) has me in better spirits and definitely putting me in the holiday mood! This is a great dress you can not only wear to a holiday party but also New Year’s, Valentine’s and pretty much anytime you need to feel extra good about yourself! The fit is amazing and has a sexy slit for some extra va-voom ;).
While you are waiting for that turkey to cook, here are some AMAZING BLACK FRIDAY SALES that have already started! I’ve rounded up some of my items on SALE and will be updating more (including home items) as they pop up!
As noted, I’ll be sharing some different holiday outfit options on the blog and today’s look is something chic and comfy. This black lace jumpsuit from Express is dressy enough for a holiday event but also versatile enough to be worn year-round. You can never go wrong with black, even for the holidays! I especially love the lace detailing on the sleeves and the back. The jumpsuit also comes in a great petite length so no hemming required for me!
The Stuart Weitzman Over the Knee Boots are definitely a splurge but in my opinion, definitely worth it. I have short legs and these boots hold up well and even elongate my legs a bit. I have tried plenty of other over the knee boots and they often sag and I find myself struggling to keep them up. The boots are also relatively comfy even with the 4″ heel but I haven’t worn them for a full day of walking yet. I’m always amazed by the ladies who wear these babies on those winter vacations in the snow or walking around all day in NYC! Another plus to these boots is that they come in so many gorgeous colors at Nordstrom. I’m going to have to convince the hubs to let me get them in another color. Maybe a Christmas gift if you are reading this babe hint, hint ;).
I paired the boots with this easy-to-wear v-neck tunic. For chillier temps, I’d also wear it with this burgundy sweater dress or this cute sweater dress with pockets. Layer a plaid scarf or cropped jacket over the look and you are ready to go!
It’s not early to start thinking about those cute holiday outfits! I love wearing options that I can re-wear easily with other pieces for other occasions so I usually go with a top & skirt combo. Here I combined my love for lace with the glam of sequins with these gorgeous options from White House Black Market to create a neutral, festive look. I’m loving this winter neutral color palette and I think throwing a red coat over it would be perfect for an evening holiday party.
I’ll be posting more holiday outfit ideas – hope you enjoyed this first one!
