My love for scallops and stripes this Spring continues! This blush scallop mini skirt is just the perfect shade of pink and the right length to make it easy-to-wear and pair with anything. Plus it matches my Chloe Mini Drew perfectly :). You’ll be seeing a lot more of this rosy pink color this year as it’s one of the Pantone colors of the year. I don’t mind – I find it an easy alternative and just as versatile as white or other neutrals.
Remember this lovely pastel pink midi dress?! Well ASOS just released a pencil skirt version of it and I think I might just love it as much as the original. What’s not to love about the crop top style, lace detailing and gorgeous pop of pink?! The fit is so perfect with its Petite sizing and I didn’t have to alter it one bit. I added my favorite feminine accessories of course to complete the head-to-toe look.
Greetings from Korea! It’s freezing here but it been such a wonderful experience so far! Follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (lacenlocks) if you want to see all the fun (and food) we are up too!
We shot this Valentine’s Day inspired look right before we left! If you have been following my blog, you know I love putting together date night looks (see black tulle maxi skirt and pink tulle midi skirt. I found this pink ball gown skirt and I knew it would be a perfect statement look for one of my favorite holidays! I added a crisp, white polka dot shirt to balance out the bright pink skirt. I didn’t want this look to look cheesy with such a bright color – I wanted the whole look to look effortless and classic, which I think I achieved with a classic top and minimal accessories. If you are missing the hubs in this post, he was behind the camera. But don’t worry, I have some more date night looks coming up where he will make an appearance (hopefully I can convince him again).
P.S. It was kind of windy that day so please excuse my crazy hair!
I can’t believe it’s December and I don’t know about you but I’m swamped with holiday decorating, gifts, making plans with family and friends and of course the usual work and life balance. So I apologize for the lack of new outfit ideas lately but there is just so much going on! I love dressing up for the holidays and this feminine look I put together consists of some great options from White House Black Market. I never shopped there that much before (remember when it use to just be white & black items?!) but every since I got these cute culottes, I have become a big fan of their petite sizes and staple pieces. They are having a winter sale right now so be sure to take advantage of their 30% discount on regular priced items! I love this pink midi skirt which would be a great year-round skirt to have.
It’s to default to black and greys this time of the year but why not add some color to the cold weather?! I have an endless love for the color pink so having a pink coat just makes sense. And not just any pink coat but a double breasted, petite friendly one like this gorgeous coat from Banana Republic. I paired it with more pops of color like this amazing fuchsia satchel Henri Bendel and Plaid Blanket Scarf from Morning Lavender. It’s really nice that it’s finally chilly in California (and by chilly I mean 60’s) and I can wear my coats!
Today’s post showcases a great way to wear pink this time of the year. I really love ASOS for their petite collection and I also really love their selection of scuba material items like this infamous peach midi skirt and pink halter dress. The material gives a great fit and flare shape that is so darling. I added this cropped leather jacket to add some warmth and edge to the look. But you know, I gotta add my bows to complete the look! 🙂
This jacket from Nordstrom comes in three colors and has a great fit. The XS fits me nicely and I can see myself wearing it with some many different looks – jeans, maxi skirts and over dresses like this look today.
You may remember this gorgeous yellow maxi skirt I posted earlier this year. Well this beautiful skirt now comes in lovely shade of light pink and I couldn’t resist showcasing it’s flowiness on the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC (by the way it is super hard to wake up early and get a shot on the bridge empty and in heels!) This skirt has layers of full fabric that make it extra flowy and special. I just love how it moves when I walk! I also love that I did not have to hem or alter this skirt. I wore it high-waisted and with 4″ heels and it fit perfectly. And better yet, Morning Lavender is having a private SALE just for Friends & Family! And because you all have become like family to me, I am happy to share this code with y’all! Use the code MLFF20 to save 20% OFF EVERYTHING include this lace top and maxi skirt. Hurry though – quantities are limited and the sale ends Friday, October 16, 2015 11:59PM PST! Don’t miss out on getting this amazing skirt for under $60!
This Fall, blush and burgundy are colors that are currently trending. Combining these colors together create a pretty feminine look that adds some lightness to usual darker fall tones. I created this ready for the office look with this burgundy pencil skirt from Banana Republic, which I may add is currently ON SALE! I combined it with some old favorites from the closet because lets face it, we can’t always buy new stuff! While it’s fun to stay on trend, remember to shop for classic pieces that you can wear repeatedly.
I am really obsessed with this pink halter dress from ASOS! I just love how feminine it is with its fit and flare shape and light pink color, but is also sexy at the same time with a deep plunge neckline and low open back. The dress comes in a scuba material that helps retain it’s feminine shape and adds extra flair to the entire look. An added bonus is the dress comes in petite sizes so it was a perfect midi length for me. It’s definitely one of those dresses that you just neeeeed in your closet!
Fit and flare dresses are just so much fun to wear! I especially love how flattering the shape is on just about anyone! I found this halter style stripe dress from Minkpink on Nordstrom’s website and instantly loved the shape of the dress and different details like the high neck and low halter back. I paired it with my lace ankle pumps and new pink Tory Burch shoulder bag to add that extra girlie flair. We were also kinda blessed with the 90 degree weather in SoCal this past weekend so wearing this outfit felt perfect for the weather =).
